Design part of an ECM embedded system.
In an engine control module (ECM), it is required to design part of the embedded system that will monitor engine temperature at several locations, in addition to monitoring oil pressure, engine lubrication oil level, brake fluid oil level, ABS system functionality check, fuel delivery pressure, air intake, as well as fuel delivery flow rate.
There are 3 temperature sensing points some of which can reach up to 150 degrees Celsius.
Signals coming from the pressure and flow transducers require noise filtering, any frequency above 30Hz is required to be attenuated by 12 dB/octave.
For accurate ADC conversion use the internal reference voltage of 2.56Volts. The system is required to deliver data to a master controller via I2C bus operating at standard speed of 100Kb/S rate and delivering data as follows: temperature from
-20 to 150 C at point 1,2,3, lubricating oil pressure from 0 to 100 milliliters/min.
