Python is an interpreted language which means contrary to other colloquial languages such as C++, Java, etc. The code you type is not compiled and built into another compiled form before running, The Python interpreter reads your own code each time without converting it in any way. This makes for a faster execution but a slower compile time. This also makes Python a robust and flexible language, allowing quick edits to be made and not adversely affect the overall behavior of the script. Python scripts can be updated easily bu opening the script on an editor and editing the script. Since Python has no building involved, the updated code is reflected as soon as you run.
