Build an online platform for online medical education and patient consultation

We expect this platform to provide easy access, flawless, and secure form of communication between university staff on one hand and patients in other hospitals or at home. The communication should include live (synchronous) and asynchronous audiovisual, text, and file sharing capacity. The system should also enable the physicians to review the source DICOM images for patients in remote sites. Doctors should be able to draw or write something for illustration. Lab results, electronic medical files are an integral feature of this system. All of this should be stored with adequate backup. Doctors and patients should be able to access this system from any location and any electronic device. More than one site can be accessed at the same time. The system should be able to function properly despite bandwidth and internet speed variability. This telemedicine service should be coupled with an e-learning solution that can be used to set curricula, online educational courses, quizzes. It should also have the ability to provide social learning and communication functions. It should be able to give feedback about the performance, and punctuality of mentors and scholars. The communication system should be able to integrate many sites in the same time, giving each site the ability to run the session if the mentor decides to do so. A board function should also be available. We want the platform to be visible on google search, with a marketing campaign during the launching process. It should have a user friendly interface and super easy access especially to older patients. It will have an additional Arabic interface at the patient's end. We will discuss the written content together. This platform will be the property of Ain Shams University. Verbal communication would be essential (English and Arabic languages). We expect a test period time to fix bugs, get feedback from users...etc.
