We've got a VMware virtual appliance running some open-source software.
We would now like to build a Windows installer that would install this
virtual machine on a Windows computer (7, 8, 8.1, 10, Server >2003)
together with Oracle Virtual Box silently.
At the end, a user should be able to use the software by interacting
with a number of menu items in a "]project-open[" program group with
the following items:
- "Help" menu item opening some fixed Web page.
- "Start ]project-open[" menu item to start the Virtual Box
- "Stop ]project-open[" menu item to stop the Virtual Box
- "Show ]project-open[ Status" menu item to open Virtual Box
- "Show ]project-open[ in browser" item to open a browser
with the IP address of the virtual machine.
The installer should make sure that port 22, 80 and 443 of the
virtual machine are available from both inside and outside the
Windows host machine. It should check if the ports are available
from the outside and deliver a reasonable error message if that's
not the case.
The installer should be created using a freely available installer
system, for example Inno Setup. We would like to get the source
code and instructions how to compile the installer.
I believe Leapdroid is an example of a similar installer. There is
