1. Analyse Retail Point of Sale (POS) data to provide correlations with other (management generated) data sets. The analysis will also sometimes include cyclical data which has to be taken into account. The task is to find the best correlation between the data sets given a limited amount of lag between the Sale data and the management input data. 2. Provide feedback on what more information / data is needed to refine and improve the outcomes or measures. 3. Develop methods of presenting the correlations to a business audience - for example in terms of no, low, medium, high correlation factors; although it is assumed the analysis will be originally generated in terms of p-values or similar. (This type of work is often done in the "R programming language" see [login to view URL] - but this is not necessary if the end point can be achieved another way.) Overall, the task is to develop a methodology organically - so eventually management (non experts) can prepare and submit the data. However, it is unlikely the analytical task will ever completely go away; there will always be a role for analytical advice. This project will begin slowly on limited test data - but is expected to grow rapidly as management understand the implications of the correlations on their business direction.

He also runs training programs on Six Sigma for people to adopt and practice statistical methods. Statistical Analysis can also be carried out using various Excel based macro files and Excel add-ins.
