Hi, I am an experienced developer having worked professionally for more than a decade in the field. I am knowledgeable with Arduino, having developed for ATmega, ATmini, and ESP8266 based devices. Also I have vast experience in C, C++, Python, Java, C# and other desktop programming languages, having used serial communications to interface with embedded devices in the past. There are various possibilities for controlling an Arduino from a computer, it depends on what you need to do. If you just want some simple command line or text based communication, I think doing it in C++ or Python are good options. Python being better if you want a portable system that can run in Windows, Linux and Mac. Also if you so desire I can develop for you a GUI, that is a screen where the user can select visually the commands to send, and also view the results of that graphically, most other Windows or Mac software work. I also have experience with this, with the libraries QT and wxWidgets. For this approach I believe a Python software would be better for ease of development. Question: Can you be more specific on what you need done, and how you want to be able to control the Arduino? Thanks for reading my proposal.
