Design and development of a high gain Omni-directional antenna for ground node. The ground node will communicate with aerial platforms. Following are desired specifications for the antenna:

(a) Frequency : 900 MHz – 1300 MHz

(b) VSWR : 1:1.5

(c) Power : 100 Watts (Peak burst power with 20% duty cycle)

(d) Polarization : Vertical

(e) Gain : >8 dBi

(f) 3dB beamwidth (horizontal) : 360°

(g) 3dB beamwidth (vertical) : >±10°

2. The antenna may provide appropriate filtering for out-of-band signals. The design may be a collinear fed antenna array (although not compulsory). Complete design simulations in HFSS/EM simulation tool would also be required.
