Good Day from South Africa. Firstly you would need to ensure your project is based on the new Raspberry Pi 4 as it is the only model that supports both 2.4 and 5GHz frequencies. I have worked on numerous raspberry pi projects and have over 100 Raspberry Pi's deployed in the field. They really are a great tool. The only potential challenge I see is the control of the router however if you are interested please can you share the router details or a teamviewer session so that I can check possibilities.
