fix prestashop 1.7 issue on site

i have just installed the prestashop 1.7 site on my dedicated server (hostgator) no changes have been made to the site, except i have installed a very popular theme, which is being used by alot of other sites without any issues. I have also added about 2000 products so far However i am facing the following issues 1) http 500 error: This is happening when i try to open the module pages in the backend, or make product combinations etc. The page does not open and i get the above error I am not sure if its timing out, or what other problem there might be. I need to get this fixed urgently. bid only if you can start the work right away thanks
