I'm in urgent need of a style/composition/lay-out browser in Cocoa. It should display styles or predefined compositions of picture and text frames (these will function as page lay-outs later on). The picture and text frames are all rectangular shaped. The picture frames should be light-gray rectangles with a black border of 1 px. The text frames should be white rectangles with a black border of 1 px. The underlying page is gray. Attached is a screenshot of the Windows style browser (written in Visual Basic 6.0).
These predefined styles/compositions/lay-outs are read in from an XML-file. Attached is the Windows VB version: with coordinates in twips and top attributes instead of bottom attributes. Only the styles of a certain type need to be browsed at the same time (A3W/A3B/A4W/A4B/A4P/A5W/A5B/A5P). The first style of each style type defines 1 page filling picture frame. So the total width and height of the underlying page for A3W is WIDTH="7886" HEIGHT="5620" (in twips). The negative value in the first style defines the margin, eg. LEFT="-186" for A3W defines a margin of 186 twips (a style has to be dragged to an odd or an even page later on, with resp. a left or a right margin). All other styles are simply sets of PICTURE and/or TEXT elements with the coordinates as attributes (in twips).
