Systems biology aims at achieving a system-level understanding of living organisms and applying the obtained knowledge to various fields including medicine. To make the best use of biological databases and the knowledge they contain, different kinds of information from different sources must be integrated with ways that make sense to biologists. In this context, text mining technologies can be directly applied for systems-level understanding that has been substantially improved over the past few years.

Hence, we created a database that contains possible information for disease-gene association in various contexts. Renal disease associated literature were text mined and “Omics” information also included to construct a database entitled as Renalomics.

Renalomics

Radiation exposure through environmental, medical and industrial settings is gradually more common. While radiation has injurious, it is useful in many applications such as radiotherapy. To boost the efficacy of radiation treatment and reduce its risks, a better understanding of the molecular basis of radiation response is required. Hence, we have developed a database that contains genes and microRNAs from about 80000 highly relevant research articles associated with radiation

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) account for high morbidity and mortality worldwide. These diseases are influenced by both genetic and epigenetic factors. Till now, the field of cardiovascular research produced enormous amount multi-omics data. Hence, to provide a useful and comprehensive molecular information resource for major CVDs, we constructed CardioGenbase. Currently, the database contains more than ∼1500 CVD associated genes and relevant information from about ∼24000 publications.
