PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
o 30+ years of experience in multi-disciplinary projects, with the ability to see, think and create in 3D, help me to develop new concepts and plants.
o My design and project management experience in multi-disciplinary material handling projects included the full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management; from the concept development, engineering design, procurement, quality assurance during manufacturing and construction, civil structures, structural erection, equipment installation, electrical and PCS installation as well as commissioning and hand-over.
o I prefer AutoDESK Inventor to produce the 3D models, simulations and once the design is approved, 2D drawings are produced.
o The concept is presented in 3D animation for approval. The approved animation is then used by the project teams for fabrication and construction.
o I am quite successful with problem solving and tend to 'think outside the box'.
o I believe a safe and cost effective project is designed and then executed.
o My project manager back ground guides me through the design phase to ensure that the design is achievable.
o The same for detail drawings; applying the engineering practices and fabrication methods to ensure the end product is functional and within the limits required.
TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGIES
o From the client's scope of work AutoDESK Inventor 2013 is used to produced concepts in 3D.
o During the design phase, the progress and queries are communicated to the client using Microsoft PowerPoint 2010. Pictures of the design are populated with arrows, comments, questions etc. for the client's attention.
o On-line meetings with the client are done on a regular basis using Skype.
o The project program is done using MS Project and is send to the client in PDF format.
o Drawings are produced in AutoDESK Inventor 2013 and can be also supplied in AutoCAD 2013.
o The project execution is developed from the 3D models with AutoDESK Inventor Studio 2013 as well as 3DSMAX. From here the client can approve the execution methodology with the site plan showing positions of cranes, materials, existing plant etc. This contributes to a safe work method as well as good housekeeping ensuring the smooth flow of activities. The animations are also used by the site crew to produce their work method statements and risk assessments.
o Cost estimates and budgets are done using Microsoft Excel 2010.
o All documentation such as scope of works, risk assessments, methodologies etc. is produced using Microsoft Word 2010.
o Operation and maintenance manuals are produced from using pictures from AutoDESK Inventor 2013 in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 and are the printed to PDF format for distribution.
