**EXPERIENCE**: **Vitesse Semiconductors (Optical System Division)**, San Jose, CA
5/02 – 9/02 *Software Engineer Intern*
• Developed test software for the Operations Group which mass produces transponders.
• Using C++, converted six Matlab libraries, involving linear regression/curve fitting, and matrix manipulation, into one stand alone Windows GUI for use by operators on tuning stations.
• Using C++ and XML, wrote a GUI that simulates a state-machine – automating tuning tests by reading state transition information from XML, while creating a GUI, relinking test function pointers, and setting up parallel data structures in C++.

1/01 – 4/01 *Computer Lab Assistant*
• Trained students with computer programming and operating systems: UNIX, MS Office applications, and programming languages (Visual Basic, C/C++, Java, Assembly).
<spacer size="36" type= "HORIZONTAL" />• Supervised an 80 terminal computer lab and 3 staff members.
• Performed <font face= "Garamond" size="2">IT work by assembling over 20 computers and frequently installing/updating software.</font>
