MJoTA. Avail: http://www.mjota.org/images/022317-FSackey-Diabetes_Ed-Counseling.pdf. Acc 2/23/17.
FNA Sackey. Global diabetes cases almost increased 4-fold from 108 million in 1980 to 422 million in 2014. This large increase is particularly in the UAE; it has become a global issue of concern. Therefore, there is the need of certified diabetes educators (CDEs) in health facilities to educate and counsel for proper drug usage, healthy diet, fitness, and management. Secondly, it is crucial to educate communities about causes of diabetes and encourage adherence to healthy lifestyles.

The Role of DNA-Binding and Phosphorylation on Nucleocytoplasmic Trafficking of the Gluc Receptor

FNA Sackey. uOttawa. Avail: http://hdl.handle.net/10393/9636. Acc 8/1/95..
Cancer chemotherapy research-involved characterizing hormone binding and DNA-binding variants of the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) isolated from leukemia and lymphoma cell lines, as models of glucocorticoid resistance found some patients. Techniques developed and used were quantitative IIF, EMSA, and homologous gene region sequencing. Cross-talk between GR signaling, kinase phosphorylation was studied by the use of inhibitors. Thus these inhibitors could be used to exploit targets for therapy.
