Developed in the following languages:VB, C#, ASP.NET, ASP T-SQL and used the following technologies: SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005, ETL, OLAP, DTS, Virtual Server, SourceSafe. Handled the majority of DBA tasks, enforced database standards, wrote countless stored procedures, wrote a host of data entry applications, developed & maintained all the in-house software ranging from ordering, billing, internal organization utilities for reporting, customer service apps, etc... these applications use winForms and webForms (ASP.NET) with a majority of them being written in C#. Integrated several applications with a wide variety of 3rd party technologies, QAS, FedEx, various telephony-based systems, etc... some of the highlights include design and implementation of a strict 3rd normal form database (3 actually) were created and about 8 older databases ranging from a hodge-podge of 2nd 3rd & 4th normal form DBs were scrubbed & imported into a new schema. Countless rows of data (tens of millions) countless tables and countless views & stored procs were also migrated and/or re-written from the ground up. Implemented full key constraints, indexes, relationships, etc... Also maintained & designed the bulk of their public websites on several Win 2k3 servers using primarily IIS though a couple were running Apache/MySQL setups. Currently we're developing a couple in-house applications with the .NET 3 framework and the WPF. I like it because I get to use XAML and really make some nice looking & functional applications for people to use. Lately been doing a lot of management, I was directly involved in the hiring process, Conducted interviews, gave tests (which I wrote) and provide an open learning environment for the developers under me. |

## Area of Expertise
Well any coding in most modern languages I'm more or less an expert in. I typically write in (in order of frequency): SQL, C/C++, C#, Java, php, perl, asp, VB. I'm about equally familiar with Windows & *NIX environments. I know HTML/JavaScript/CSS well enough & I like to think I'm quite the wiz when it comes to rdbms. I don't believe it's important to list any more buzzwords such as ADO, .NET, etc, etc... if I post enough acronym-spaghetti it will look silly; suffice to say, I know how to code & I know good coding practices & standards. I know lots & if I don't, chances are that I can learn it quicker than expected. |
