Relational Database Technologies MS SQL Server (7.0, 2000, 2005), MS Access, SQL, T-SQL, dBase, mySQL (4.5, 5.0) Software Proficiencies Microsoft: Windows 95-Vista, IIS 6.0, Visual Studio, Office (97-2003). Macromedia / Adobe Web Development Suites: MX, MX2004, 8, CS3, Flash Media Server Other: Apache web server, Subversion, Ethereal, SeeFusion, Eclipse, Protools LE, Cubase 3.0, Final Cut. Employment 3/2007 - 12/2007 Permission Data Lead Developer, Front End [login to view URL] In March of 2007 I began working as a developer for Permission Data. After three month's of working I was given control of all front-end client development and given specific projects to engineer myself. Key Responsibilities: * Manage all incoming client work orders . * Set time lines for all incoming client work orders. * Oversee real time data transfer system handling millions of dollars of monthly transactions. * Design, Engineer, and implement software sub systems. * Manage part-time consultants. Specific Accomplishments: BOFI System I designed and implemented a bounce filter email system using a combination of Coldfusion, C++, and the Boogie Bounce API. With thousands of opt-ins to Permission Data's lead database everyday, thousands of email bounces were occurring. Permission Data needed a system that would be able to detect bounced emails and then appropriately "scrub" invalid leads from their database. AJAX Framework No standardized AJAX framework existed in Permission Data's existing software. I found and adapted an open source Coldfusion AJAX framework that would be compatible with their existing system. I created usage documentation and trained other developers on how do to use the AJAX library. The system was thoroughly tested and found to be extremely secure and effective. Multi-threaded real time data transfer system One of Permission Data's primary business functions is sending real time data streams to its various buyers and resellers. When I began working there the real-time data system, although working, was suffering several bottlenecks. The main bottleneck was the fact that only one instance of the real time script could run concurrently. Each sales "lead" had to be sent one at time. At first this was adequate but as the company began to expand leads were coming in faster then the RTDS could send them out (thousands of requests per minute). I was able to design a system using CF7 (no cfthread support) that created multiple Coldfusion processes concurrently with CFLOCK that allowed us to send an exponentially larger amount of sales leads. Custom Client Requests I successfully completed several custom client requests for Permission Data's high profile clients including: Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Stayfree, Quiznos, Enterprise, and several others. 7/2006 – 3/2007 [login to view URL] Founder, Lead Architect In July of 2006 I founded [login to view URL], an online television site. My responsibilities were to develop and deploy all the software necessary to create an online television site / video sharing site. I was also solely responsible to setup all server environments for the application to run on. [login to view URL] was initially created as a Coldfusion, Flex 2.0, DHTML and an AJAX hybrid but after a year of Beta testing (over 500 users), I decided that DHTML and AJAX was not a sufficient solution and the entire front-end had to be redeveloped. A 100% Flex/Flash frontend is currently in development. Key features of [login to view URL]: * Embeddable (shareable) video player * Backend Administration utility for managing / uploading videos and user accounts * Non-stop Stream of video (similar to broadcast television)Video Play list (with enqueue and history) * Channel Directory * Tag Management * Interactive Video Search (plays database results as video stream) * Chat Specific Accomplishments * Created custom Flex 2.0 (Actionscript 3.0) video player * Created Webservice for serving videos * Created custom Coldfusion MVC using CFCs * Created RDBMS for videos, users, subscriptions, play lists, voting, images, etc. * Created a custom AJAX gateway (that can access Coldfusion logic identically to front end and backend) * Built advanced DHTML/Javascript GUI . 10/2005 – 5/2006 Vshift (formerly I Stand For) Developer, Partial Owner [login to view URL] I came to I Stand For in October of 2005. At the time, I Stand For was a startup company with four full time employees. I Stand For hosted multiple sites utilizing a custom built model view controller using Coldfusion and MS SQL Server. They acted as an application service provider using shared components between each clients’ site. I Stand For was purchased in March of 2006 by Global Strategy Group; a Washington D.C. based political consulting firm. I stayed at Global Strategy group for two months to help facilitate a smooth transition and train new personnel. Some of the ISF sites I worked on were: [login to view URL] , [login to view URL] , [login to view URL] . Key software features of I Stand For’s Platform * Blast email lists * Blast email processing (queue/archive) * Online contributions using merchant accounts * User management * RSS Aggregation (parsing rss feeds, storing entities, creating feeds) * Data export (custom reports) * Blog, photoblog, videoblog, video gallery, etc. Specific Accomplishments * Assisted in moving from a two-server environment to six-server load balanced environment. * Created several new client sites using Coldfusion / HTML / Javascript * Built RSS Aggregation module in Coldfusion * Interacted directly with clients * Interacted directly with designers and software vendors * Documented all functions in all CFCs for entire application (over 500 pages) 4/2003 – Present Managed Application Systems Inc. President In April of 2003 I founded Managed Application Systems Inc.; a Coldfusion consulting company. Projects WeCare Web, New York City Human Resources Administration, 9/2006-12/2006 Mas Inc was hired by NYC human resources administration ## Area of Expertise Coldfusion (versions 4.5 through MX 8), Python, Perl, PHP, Active Server Pages, AJAX, Javascript, ActionScript 3.0, Flex 3, RTMP, Flash Media Server, Model View Controllers, (X)HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, C++, Flash Remoting, Application Server Providers, Application Frameworks, Visual Basic, Web Services, SOAP.
