Receive Chain Noise Matching For Magnetic Particle Imaging

Student Conference Medical Engineering Science 2015: Proceedings. BoD–Books on Demand, 2015.
The main sources of noise in magnetic particle imaging are the receive coil, the parts used in the analog filter circuit and the electronics of the Low Noise Amplifier. When working with RF signals, noise affects the SNR of the measurement significantly and reduces the resolution of measured data. This paper examines noise matching between the combined output noise of both receive coil and filter with an LNA for SNR improvement.
