This temp assignment was to help Comcast of Charlottesville bring their E911 phone services to their customers. Before they could offer it, their billing addresses had to be in compliance with Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) requirements, meaning that 95% of their customers' addresses had to be location capable. I wound up building a full-blown automation project, integrating their proprietary databases with Excel and Access. See my photo gallery for screen shots!
I write Visual Basic software for Windows ® PCs. My main products are Retrievem and Morphoboard. Retrievem is a text-processing productivity tool. Morphoboard is a board game prototyping application.

Offender processing, criminal records, and the relevant bit: I developed a database for the Latent Print Section. This database was called CATCH - a cheeky acronym which I back-formed to Case Activity Tracking, Consolidation and History. The database started life as a DBase III flat-file database in 1996 on a Pentium 286 Windows 3.1 PC. By 2001, it was on Windows XP, under Microsoft Access 2000. Along the way, it became the nerve center of our operations. See my photo gallery for screen shots!
