Aged 44, with a university degree in Business Administration (graduated in 1989, final mark 106/110) and a background in managerial roles, including in sequence:
-initial experience in a **management consulting firm** (Andersen Consulting – 7 years)
-role of **customer service and distribution logistics manager** for a medium-sized high-tech manufacturing company (Varian Vacuum Technologies – 6 years)
-position of **Managing Director** of a small automotive supplier owned by a German private group (Flabeg srl – 3 years).
-brief period as a consultant / interim manager for a couple of automotive manufacturers
-founder of small IT Newco specialized web+mobile solutions design and marketing, and general Business/IT consultancy

The above described path has enabled me to build a sound knowledge of business environments (markets, industries) and business rules and mechanisms (organisation, processes, functional areas, ICT).
With respect to <u>markets</u> and <u>processes</u> it is worth mentioning here my extensive knowledge of *product* *definition*, *product* *portfolio* *optimisation*, *production planning*, *logistics* and other matters within **repetitive manufacturing** environments in general (catalogue / OEM) and my expertise in the **automotive supplies** sector. Parallel to this, I have been introduced to the key *operational, controlling* and *financial* aspects of **project-driven** manufacturing.
Among the <u>functional competencies</u> more systematically developed, I would include the rules and the standards of *international trade*, how to structure and manage *distribution channels* and relevant *logistics*, and how to *administer sales*.
