I started programming computers in 1978, after completing a course in Programming Technology at Control Data Corporation. I did 2 years at Gloucester County Council as a programmer before going freelance. As PCs replaced mainframes I had to retrain. I did courses at Pitman's in Microsoft Excel & Word, & went on to work as a Systems Administrator at Potterton's. Here I learned to work with Microsoft Access databases and Visual Basic. Then I joined a Software House in Cornwall that ran 200 plus websites. Here I learned to use ASP.NET, C# and SQL. I did a brief stint with PHP in Newquay. Then I joined a software house in Warwickshire. I have experience of programming in many areas of business.
