PROCEED WITH CAUTION WHEN DEALING WITH ASTERRO My experience with Asterro started well. During the bidding process, they took the time to understand my requirements. I awarded them the project on this basis. I even awarded them a separate small job (2 hours work), which they handled professionally. Unfortunately, after a promising start, things deteriorated from there. After one week they delivered the 1st milestone – setup of a UI template and user login. Even though in testing there were bugs, in good faith I released the first milestone. One month later, they advised me some "package" was not working, so demanded more money in order to finish the project as they now needed to custom build (news to me, as I thought it was custom build to begin with). Their logic was, it's common for freelancers to renegotiate "fixed priced, fixed scope" terms AFTER payment of first milestone, otherwise the risk would be too high for freelancers. After going around in circles on the definition of fixed project cost, I cut my losses and cancelled the project. When dealing with Asterro, my advice is... 1. They might be useful for small tasks, but I'm not sure they're capable on more complex projects 2. Really challenge their supposed MERN Stack capability Bottom line is, I lost $800 and 1 month because of Asterro's lack of ethics. I've since hired a new developer and things are going great. Source code they provided for first milestone was unusable. Lesson learnt. AVOID ASTERRO
