Recently I was contacted by a client to build a solution that will use two-factor authentication on-top of SSL/TLS to make it more secure, I proposed him a solution in Python Flask, I used this framework because of the less boilerplate code I need to set-up a project also I can test the whole solution using CI/CD pipeline because I had very short amount of time for this project.I created the keys and CRT using openSSL and imported those file to flask back-end used this to verify client requests. I learned alot of things in this projects since anyone can create CA certs so it was easier for Hackers to create and verify a cert and exploit TLS/SSL to mitigate this, companies started filtering self-verified certs as invalid certs, only those certs are allowed that are verified by some Trusted authority like Google etc. Since, my client wanted a prototype and we didn't have enough resources to pay for certificate authentication, we used Self-signed certs instead
