Contest Brief

My name is Malachi Argentum, I am a self proclaimed hip hop artist with the Monicker “Dosmelo”. I am creating a label that will also be brand called. “VILLVGE” This label needs to be CLEAN and Modern with an Urban Contemporary Street Feel. This should not look like a copy cat logo, the Font if used should feel fresh but unfamiliar. Typography is not necessary. Villvge is a collective group of Fans, Friends, Family, Artist, Producers, and anyone else on the team. It should feel very inclusive but once your in you feel like it’s one of kind and exclusive. The term Village means a self-contained district or community within a town or city, regarded as having features characteristic of village life. This definition should help the logo come around full circle if you ever get lost. It needs to have the aspect of Japanese, Chinese, Mayan, or African culture as these were settlers that thrived in villages across the countries they lived in. Whether this is represented through symbols, calligraphy, exterior structure, or interior accents. “VILLVGE” also has a tight bind to hip hop and represents a new family that has been around but hidden. I also am a Huge fan of anime, whether it is Kodomo, Shonen, Shojo, Hentai, Ecchi, or Harem. I love it all and if you can incorporate it and make it flow with the design that would be dope as well.
