Contest Brief

A Property Management and Vacation Rental company in Costa Rica is looking to refresh their outdated logo. The company is located in Tamarindo, a little surf town on the Pacific Ocean that draws an international crowd and has some bucket list surf spots. The owner is from the US and is an old surfer who wears surf branded items. Use surf brands as inspiration. Please keep a hint at least of the elements and/or colors from the current logo and branding (circle "HP" logo with red wave element used in some situations).

The finalized logo will ultimately be screened or stitched onto collared shirts for the team, and used for digital and print marketing. I would eventually like to make some surfer style hats and t-shirts with it as well.

The office also has a large window panel with a red wave on the bottom and photos of the area on top, similar to some of the attached files that will be updated with the new look. So something that could transfer to branding elements similar to the red wave would be great.

Final product for the contest would be a vector based logo with an updated typeface (PLEASE!! The script of the "HP" needs to go) that is available without cost for commercial use. Vector elements should be original and/or free for commercial use as well. No additional payment will be made for purchasing fonts/vector elements. Do not include any photos. The words "Horizon Pacific" should be the primary focus with "Management & Rentals" secondary and possibly interchangeable or removable without affecting the main logo elements.
