Cartoon Style - Scales of Justice - True/False Metre
- Status: Closed
- Prize: $100
- Entries Received: 5
- Winner: TopCGer
Contest Brief
An original cartoon-style design is required which includes the following:
- scales of justice (gold/metallic)
- a true/false metre beneath
- an empty box in each of the scale pans with "FOR" written on on box (above the TRUE end of the metre) and "AGAINST" (above the FALSE end of the metre).
See attached image below which will give you an indication of the general design (although note that the picture doesn't include the required boxes).
This design will be used in After Effects for educational videos and so the following requirements will be needed from the successful contest winner:
- All components of the design must be in LAYERS. In particular, the scales of justice must be broken down into its constituent moving parts as layers (i.e. left pan and chains, right pan and chains, stem, holding bar, holding cogs) as these will be animated in After Effects as items in the video are added into each box - imagine the scales moving up and down as they would in real life. This is easily done by our animators in After Effects, provided the scales and everything else is in layers.
- True False metre must also have separate layers (i.e., the words, the arrow and the metre itself)
- each box must be in a separate layer (as should the words on the box)
The style must be consistent with the nature of the educational videos that can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sJR1Ra7WCU&t=11s
The successful contest winner must provide the file in AI or PS format with layers outlined above - with transparent background.
