<Overview>
Please collect product information on vehicles or service information that have or will have the technologies described in the “Technology Description” section below.

<Technology Description>
This technology improves the convenience of the user authentication devices mounted on the vehicle.
A problem in a case when the user is biometrically authenticated by using a user authentication device mounted on the vehicle is that user authentication may not be possible if the registered biometric information is unavailable. For example, if a user's fingerprint is registered in an authentication device and the user's finger is injured, user authentication cannot be used. Furthermore, in this case, since user authentication cannot be performed, biometric authentication cannot be turned off.
Considering the above problem, in this technology, the authentication device is equipped with an authentication function that uses identification information of a mobile terminal owned by a user in addition to a biometric authentication function. The biometric authentication function can be switched from on to off when authentication is successful by either the biometric authentication function or another authentication function.
