Hi,
I have created a disruptive technology app for personal organization in the productivity category.

I need help to provide a smooth onboarding process for the new user so they understand how to use the app's unique features for their personal benefit.

It is disruptive because it is a human based approach to organizing our To Do items. No more flat long lists of Tasks, no more swapping between Calendar, To do list and multiple apps. This new app integrates Tasks with your existing calendar and existing contacts. It's called "People To Do".

Tasks are now linked either directly around yourself or around a contact person. Their are many benefits to this approach. I will explain further below.

The traditional approach to Personal organization is a Task centered approach.
e.g.
I need to pick up milk
Buy shoes for child.
Speak to the Boss about holiday time.

People To Do , changes this by re-organizing tasks into Tasks centered around yourself, and tasks centered around Contacts. In these examples the contacts (as per your phone's Contacts ) are;
Child (name)
Boss (name).

This human approach is more adapt at applying organization around the common people we interact with and deal with regularly.

It means as we do our tasks, we have instant access to their contact information, can notify them instantly when the task is completed and have better categorization. This creates a ripple effect;
better centralized task management
integrated workflow (Contact -> Task -> Calendar)
visual/human based approach.

By the time that the User has downloaded, installed and run the app, they should already understand some basic benefits. Because , hopefully they have recieved recommendation or information about what the app does. Or have watched the demo video on the playstore.

So the user education (onboarding/coach tips) should teach the user how to use the app.

Importantly, it is NOT good to overwhelm user with more than 4 coach mark tips at a single time. Because they will forget.

Using a bunch of startup screens in a slider fashion is not so good either, because many users wont bother sliding through them.

Using a video approach in the app is not so good because user doesnt want to watch or maybe is on limited data plan.

So the solution should involve a simple approach, not overwhelm user but educate them and then we will make these tips/screens viewable again by the Help icon.

When the app is first installed there are currently 3 different onboarding screens. These are not very good.

What the onboarding should solve is;

1. What is the app? Very briefly describe to user by showing the divide between example Tasks between You or Contact (name).

2. How to use the main unique functions;
Notify contact of task completion.
Jump to contact.
Jump to calendar.
New task for user
Convert task to calendar
Send email/text to task (share Via - People To Do).
Prioritise.
Table view.
Re-assign task to another user

3. any suggestions/advice for UI improvement within app.
