Contest Brief

Hi!

I am in need of a simple, modern, elegant and recognisable logo for my new company, James Oliver Music. I make music for film, games and TV, and have made a new website over the weekend.

My colour scheme is very much black and white (and grey) and I would like the logo to fit that style. It must have a transparent background so that I can use it over pictures/solid colours without difficulty. I plan to use a lot of large hi res photos on my site, hence why I need this transparency. I need it to feature my initials J O with and without the word music, in the colours specified (black, white and various shades of grey) and in a creative way, not just block capitals. The word music must not be integral to the design, so that I can use the initials logo as an icon on the website. I need to be able to detach it without spoiling the logo.

My temporary business card design has been attached, so you can see the style I have gone with so far. I will be using this logo over videos, business cards, photos etc. Obviously, the design must be original to obey copyright laws etc.

I've tried to provide as much info as possible!

All in all, I am looking for creativity and your most interesting designs. Please be artistic! Stock fonts and ordinary letters are not what I'm looking for with this logo.
