Contest Brief

FESTIVAL HELVETICA

I'm looking for a logo design as well as a poster design for an upcoming Swiss Film Festival (spring 2016). Note: it is a very small festival for one or two days and it is non-profit. If the festival is successful, the logo and poster elements will be reused the following year, probably with a new poster design.

This is our vision for the festival:

We believe our roots have a great influence on the values we transfer to our children and grand-children. Thanks to modern cinema, we can visit landscapes and hear the language of our origins. Therefore, through images and sound of Switzerland, FESTIVAL HELVETICA, will give warm feelings to people of Swiss origins and lovers of this beautiful country who has such a great history to share.

Now, about the contest...

The logo should:
- contain the name "FESTIVAL HELVETICA";
- be reusable on the poster;
- be reusable on a website;
- be reusable in an e-mail signature;
- be reusable on business cards;
- come with a style guideline document (colour palette and font description);
- be delivered in Photoshop format;

The poster should:
- contain the logo;
- contain the sub-title in French, Swiss-German, Italian and English (in this order)*;
- contain the date (or date range) TBD;
- contain the location (theatre, city) TBD;
- contain the exact address (smaller font than the location) TBD;
- contain the website of the festival: www.festivalhelvetica.com (doesn't exists yet);
- be printable easily, in large poster size (A1 for Europe or 24" x 36" for America);
- be easy to edit and change any text (sub-title, date, location, address, website);
- be delivered in Photoshop format;

BONUS: the winner will be added to the list of our contributors, including name, contact information and/or website for your own promotional benefit.

*Subtitle in French, Swiss-German, Italian and English is:

Festival de Cinéma Suisse
Schweizer Film Festival
Festival del cinema Svizzero
Swiss Film Festival

Other relevant information:
- the colours of Switzerland are red and white;
- the exact colours of the flag are described here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Switzerland#Colors
- famous landscape of Switzerland include: the Matterhorn, the Aletsch Glacier and Lac Léman;
- Switzerland is famous for Cheese Fondue, Chocolate, Clock and Watches;
- if you decide to use pictures, make sure they are free of copyrights;
