Design a Logo for a financial service provider

For a new startup, I'm in need of a logo.
The startup is a financial service provider, they offer following services:
- Tax planning
- Asset planning
- Contingency planning
- Pension planning

The target group are people over 35, so the logo should be well readable and writing in a good contrast.
For the logo, you can use following colors: White, Blue, Grey, Gold.
Some possible colors are attached in an image, you can use those but you don't have to! (Be creative, see what makes sense!)
The main usage of the logo will be the new website as well as printed media (e.g. contracts, business cards).

Also attached is a draft of the logo that the owners didn't like.
You'll find the company name there, please use it in your logo.
Also, please use another font than in the example. Choose a more modern font, thank you!

The end result should be:
- The logo source file (PSD/AI)
- The logo as PNG and SVG
