Contest Brief

The organisers of DISPAX World 2023 are looking for an updated conference logo that tastefully reflects AGGRESSIVE/ANGRY AIRLINE PASSENGER BEHAVIOUR. The conference focusses on how FLIGHT ATTENDANTS manage such passengers inflight.

We are NOT looking for a logo that simply focusses on aviation or aircraft, although feel free to incorporate an aircraft in the design. Better still, show the AIRCRAFT CABIN rather than the aircraft.

Feel free to change the current colours, especially the blue. We will ONLY be selecting a design that emphasises the HUMAN element.

We need:
a) an updated logo design, and b) updated website banners

Updated logo should reflect the new dates and new location: Prague, Czech Republic, 11–12 October 2023. (Note: we are finalising the location this week; we may ask winning designer to change the location before completing the artwork)

WE ONLY NEED TO SEE LOGO IDEAS AT THIS STAGE. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO AGREE TO THEN SUPPLY LOGOS IN DIFFERENT FORMATS AND UPDATE THE WEB BANNERS USING THE NEW LOGO.

Logo Deliverables:
• Digital RGB & Print CMYK
• 72dpi, 150dpi, 300dpi
• Coloured Logo
• Black logo
• White Logo
• Logo for a coloured/dark background
• Logo with background colour (black and white)
• Logo without dates and location
• Logo with dates and location
• Logo for social media – LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook
• Favicon

The winning freelancer agrees to transfer all ownership of the DISPAX World 2023 logo and website banners to Green Light Limited upon payment.

The fee covers ALL deliverables listed above. The contract will be awarded to the preferred logo designer who shall commit to supplying the rest of the deliverables within five days.

    The contest ends in 5 hours. That being 2300hrs here in London, please don't expect feedback tonight!
    Also, as the office team is very split on which design is best (!), I will be sending our favourite 3 or 4 designs to around 20 people in the industry to ask their views....telling them that we will need their immediate response. So, the decision will be made tomorrow. I am very grateful to all who submitted, especially the two of you who were really keen to adapt creative designs multiple times.

    No plans to announce a winner early. We did update the brief this morning to emphasise that this is more a conference about human aggressive, abusive or intoxicated human behaviour than it is about aviation. Lots of the designs submitted have been very aviation focussed, but without any human element. Logos that incorporate passengers in aircraft seats (not necessarily in the same profile view or format as our current one) are more relevant than aircraft circling the world. Feel free to change colours - red kind of works due to the fact that it signifies aggression, but open to other colours as well. And, without making it too complex an image, if aviation could be represented by flight attendants (not pilots!) rather than aircraft, that might work. It's about how cabin crew deal with difficult passengers.
