Contest Brief

I work with a non-profit Christian Organization.

I have been tasked with getting a Broadcast Playout Server together... I know that there are freeware solutions available out there that will do everything I need but I haven't found it yet...

Here's what I need the server to do/have and I'm more then willing to install multiple pieces of software on the computer to do it, but this is just an initial server to get us going while I get everything together for a much better server with great and expensive software...

Good paylist with a good amount of control over it at any time...
Stream the video online...
Can play video files that are fairly easily created, and preferably something that can also later be edited if needed (such as mp4).
can be set as either standard video (4:3) or HD, and when set to one, will somehow compensate if we try to play the other type (letterboxing is one way)...

the last one is much less important, just something I'd like...

The winning bid will give me the name of the software (or each of the multiple pieces of software, and give me a very brief bit of information about it/them...

If an entry catches my eye before I find a winner, I will send that person a message and ask for more information to be included or to answer any questions..
