Funky illustration needed for Outdoor Brand's Action Day flyer: Canyon Cleanup Event

Contest Brief

I am looking for a talented illustrator to create a funky and eye-catching illustration for our Colorado, USA-based Outdoor Brand's Action Day flyer promoting our upcoming Canyon Cleanup Event. The illustration should be in a cartoon style, capturing the fun and energetic atmosphere of the event. This is a gathering we hope people will show up for and enjoy participating in, even though they will be doing the difficult work of cleaning up litter and garbage along a popular canyon recreation site.

As a small business, we love getting dressed up to elevate the vibe. Think tutus, sparkles, animal onesies, good vibes, music, high fives, refreshments, and lots of garbage bags filled with collected litter at the end of the event.

Working names for this event include:
“Canyon Creek CleanUp”
“Sparklefest: Creek Cleanup Day”
“Litter and Glitter Creek Clean Up”

While I have some ideas for the illustration, I am also open to the illustrator's creativity and suggestions. Some of the elements that could be included are:
- Trout (Brown trout or Rainbow trout) collecting trash
- Other animals (such as Black Bear, Stellar Blue Jay, Golden Eagle, Red Fox or Black Fox, Bobcat, Mountain Lion) doing activities related to picking up or bagging up trash
-Golden Eagle flying with a bag of trash
- Trout fishing for garbage, or using a fishing net to collect trash in the creek
- Creek mermaid holding a trash picker
- Trout rock climbing
- This area is heavily recreated by climbers, so imagery of mountain climbing could also be appropriate

Color Palette: Brand colors are black, white, and yellow (HEX: #ffbf3f
CMYK: 0/27/86/0, RGB: 255/191/63). I envision the illustration to have a bright and vibrant color palette, reflecting the positive and lively spirit of the event. Black and white background options are preferred upon final design handoff.

A previous event flyer is attached. Please look at this for inspiration. We would love if this illustration felt like it was done by the same artist, or at least, falls within the same design style.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Strong illustration skills with experience in creating captivating and dynamic cartoon-style illustrations
- Ability to bring ideas to life and incorporate them into the illustration
- Proficiency in using bright and vibrant colors to create visually appealing illustrations
- Familiarity with outdoor lifestyle, rock climbing, and animal and nature themes would be a plus
- Graphic design experience a bonus. Right now we are mostly looking for an illustration, but if you are also interested in laying out the event flyer’s text and our logo, we could do that together as well.
