Contest Brief

We are a streetwear brand looking for a talented and creative graphic designer who can match our style, and create catchy designs that mesh well with the designs we already have. We would really like someone who specializes in our specific art style and can even come up with their own designs that would perform well with our brand.

Our brand name is Minor Misfortune and our website is MinorMisfortune.com if you want to get a better idea of our company.

Please see attached images for reference of our current designs. Your designs should have a similar feel to
them. Notice the alternative feel and art style. We are open to your own interpretation of the design as well, however the main thing here is that is has to feel on-brand.

The first design we are in need of is a concept "The Worst is Yet to Come". We initially imagined a female in a field of flowers, gazing off into a calm looking sky with the text "the worst is yet to come" staggered throughout. See the reference image for what we had in mind. ****However, we are not 100 percent tied down to this if you think you have a really good design that would fit that phrase. We want the design to feel very peaceful and almost sarcastic or ironic, about how even though things look great, "the worst is yet to come". Check out our "stay optimistic" design for a better example of of this sarcastic vibe we are going for. That design is our best performing shirt and we would like to have more designs that can compete with it. We encourage you to submit any original take you may have of this and come up with your own interpretation of the phrase. Or if you have any ideas outside of this that you can see fitting our brand well, feel free to send those as well as we are hoping to find someone we can use consistently in the future after this contest, who can become our go-to designer moving foreword and come up with their own ideas for the brand.
