Contest Brief

Hi all, I have started writing articles and interviews based around singles and Over 40's life. I have called the collection the "Human Odyssey Collection".
Some are interviews of singles over 40 and challenges like ex vet now a civilian, Muslim lady dating in Australia, dating after serious illness etc.
The other pieces are articles on topics for over 40's. Like introducing the kids to a new partner, is soulmate real etc.
I started it as a hobby, but now people want to read them and instead of a blog on my website I will be listing the articles. Yes to help with traffic on my site but also to help with understand in the community of the challenges. The final product will end up as a book.
I now need artwork to use on my website, future book, socials etc. I will be honest I don't know what it will look like, I am NOT creative at all.
The tone .... I am not an expert and I don't wish to come across as a teacher. More a single mum, entrepreneur with a passion for bringing people together and organising events. Not a really dry official type look, more fun and inspiring something engaging to make people look and simply be a little curious what they will read. Open to the idea of a caricature?
My last contest I had so many amazing responses I ended up awarding multiple prizes and using them in other aspects of my business. This is also a possibility for this contest.

    Morning, I had 140 entries and the standard was very very high. I ended up asking a publishing house, printer, author and a teacher to help with the decision. I have now chosen entry #110 Jmvanbreda as the overall winner. His entry was on point with all categories of the brief and I felt universe with appeal to both ladies and men.

    Hi I have found I am unable to attach any work I like now I have listed the competition. Freelancer states it is to stop people who have put in entries not having all the information before they submit.
    So I will attempt to tell you what appeals to me.
    I prefer a cover with colour rather than black/white.
    More creative with some depth behind it, rather than a photo.
    Like artwork rather than photos of people / person
    I don't wish to go heavy on a cover depicting people from diverse backgrounds. Although this is a couple of my interviews, the collective is more rounded.
    Hope this helps and thanks for your time putting together an entry. A couple I have already said not quite right for the cover, but I can see it in the book as a new chapter etc.

    Hi, couple of entries so far. Just some group feedback. It must be original, I won't accept anything that is not an original.
    My work is not a romance book. I am looking more for a cover that shows maybe multiple types of people coming together to share experiences please. Or you can see by the cover an idea of sharing ideas, experiences from diverse backgrounds, political views and experiences. To entertain, inform, enlighten and hopefully bridge the gaps in understand the hurdles faced by becoming single at a mature age. thanks
