Contest Brief

this contest is to produce a graphic needed for a presentation.

The graphic can be created by photoshop using some of the photos we are providing via upload, or by creating a realistic illustration that best captures the idea. It is intended to be a mock-up or representation.

The graphic will be a white Ford Transit Connect XL cargo van (sample photos attached, but feel free to look online for more). It must be an exact replication of this model van.

On the side of the cargo van the customer name “Roadside Rescue Service” should be displayed. If you want to create a simple, clever logo to go with that name, great! Extra points for that!

On the side of the van there must be::
* a car battery (uploaded photo sample provided). Beneath the photo, should read “battery service”

* The Geico name or Geico gecko/lizard (or both), underneath which it should say, “Proudly serving Geico motorists” (Geico photo samples provided)

* Some splash of color. If you look at the AAA van photo, you will see a blue/red ribbon on the rear side. Perhaps something like that with Geico colors, green and white. 

You can be creative, have fun, but remember this will be part of a business presentation, so keep it professional and not too busy looking.

FYI. The AAA van in the photo is an actual business vehicle which provides the same type of service, so you can draw inspiration from that if you need to.

The Geico (green) van is included in the uploads also to provide color and other inspiration.

very amateurish. in communication design, there has to be a lead in, which captures your attention, and then you follow up with explanation. right now everything has same weightage. one doesn't know which to look at first.

  We submitted entries to client and client chose the graphic he felt would best suit his purpose. He did not engage us to give him a lesson in design nor would we feel it our duty to argue or persuade a different choice. Art is subjective. We are pleased that client is happy. But thank you for your perspective and for your contribution to the contest.
