Contest Brief

As my home business has expanded I've encountered a need for a higher quality logo. My current logo has served well for what it is. Now my company is identified by this logo so I don't want to lose the brand image associated with it.. but I need a higher quality logo for use in marketing.

To allow for better design and creative freedom I am allowing for changes in the logo if you (as the designer) see it necessary but it is important not to completely redesign the logo from the ground up, I do not want to abandon what is a fairly new company logo (~2 years old). The star in the logo is very important as it is a landmark in the city where the company is located.

Additionally, I market myself as a traditional travel agent but using modern amenities to keep up with the times. To that effect, any logos should be modern and clean in appearance without appearing staunchy or alienating budget travelers.

While i'm at it I would like a couple of variations of the logo as follows:

1) Full Logo with company name as seen in the original
2) Graphic only logo with the "star city travel" company name removed
3) Mailing logo with the logo and to the right the business name and address (425 Church Avenue SW, #217, Roanoke, VA 24016) in a format that is acceptable for return addresses or letterhead

Requirements:

1) Keep the logo close to the original design
2) Provide all three requested types of logos
3) High quality image with transparent backgrounds for use in publications, white background copies are appreciated as well
4) No watermarks or artist names in the final copy (watermarks may be placed on proofs prior to payment)
