Contest Brief

I am looking for an illustrator for a series of three children's picture books. I am looking for a fresh, appealing illustration style that will appeal to kids aged 6-12. These are rhyming picture books.

Sample text: The Tower of Power

Mia hugged Mum and Dad and they all said “goodbye”
feeling so very proud that she didn’t cry.
She grinned as she turned to meet her new friend
(the one with a plait with a bow at the end).

“Hello, I’m Mia, do you want to play?”
Claire sneered at Mia, “With you? No way!
You’re not my kind of girl! You can’t play with me!”
Then she marched away, as rude as could be.

The second book is called "Mum said I'm Magic!" and here is some sample text:

With his tummy in knots and eyes squeezed tight,
Brandon summoned these words with all of his might:
'Hey presto! Kapow! Sim salla bim!"
as he waved his wand over his sister, Kim.
Then ever so slowly, he opened his eyes
Excitedly waiting to reveal the surprise.

But there stood Lily, not a grand fairy queen
Just his sister, in PJs, no wings to be seen.
"I want to be magic!", he stomped and he cried,
"Mum said I have magic but maybe she lied."

But Brandon had guts and Brandon had heart
Brandon wasn't a quitter so he made a new start.
