Contest Brief

I am looking for an illustrator to create realistic illustrations for a series of children's books. The target audience for these books is children aged 4-8 years old. Each book will have between 10-20 pages.

Skills and Experience Needed:
- Proficiency in realistic illustration styles
- Experience in creating illustrations for children's books
- A strong understanding of the target audience and the ability to create engaging and age-appropriate illustrations
- Attention to detail and the ability to bring characters and scenes to life through illustrations

The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with the author to bring their vision to life and create illustrations that captivate and engage young readers.

This is starting out as a family project.
This is a story inspired by my son… I called the story, Santa Ben. Initially, I just want copies for the members of my family… Though I would love to be able to get the book published for a wider audience. I don’t have a lot of experience in getting that done, so I’m looking for an artist that can come up with some creative way to do this work and take a piece of the profit if we can get this published. I don’t have thousands of dollars to pay for the beautiful work that I would hope for. But I’m willing to share in any revenues. The book could produce if it gets published, Santa, Ben is a very sweet story that brings a tear to your eye, and warms your heart.
I was kind of thinking of a Norman Rockwell style of illustration, but I don’t really need a high-level of detail in the pictures to tell this children’s story. So I’m very open to other styles.
