Contest Brief

I write short true stories often. I need them to be illustrated. My stories range from 500 words to 3,000 words. I divide my stories into short chapters. For every chapter I need one illustration. I would like the the artist to get immersed in my stories and surprise me with his creations. Even so, the price should be competitive because if he/she does the first gig well, this will be a parmanent gig.

Carolina was a bit abstract for usage at this point. scored lowest, but she's very thoughtful. Her piece is full of conflict, perhaps too much, with no resolution in sight......JESUS got the full picture, did exactly what I wanted but the art is too faint, I know the same can be enlarged but for the current judgement, it did not compete awesomely....TEHNYYAT had the best summary in one image but I wanted multiple images. CATE had a wonderful rendition but there was no conflict in her piece. Therefore, for the purposes of this contest, the winner by the response, trials and committment to improvement is S. JUAN. This person and TEHNYYAT carry the day. I actually needed FIVE DIFFERENT drawings similar to the entries number #4 and #6 or #1......I DISTRIBUTE THE AWARD AS FOLLOWS: CATE $1, TEHNYYAT $2, S.JUAN $7

Juan's latest entry is excellent and seem to rhyme with my story, Only that the family in the story is not always a happy one. There's a crucial bit of conflict missing. The man in the story is a violent womanizer turned preacher. in one place, he actually beats his pregnant wife. If you show this conflict in your drawings IT WILL GIVE YOU AN AN EDGE over the rest.

A church setting would also mean the illustrator understands the different contexts of action
