Contest Brief

Small publishing company, Paha Sapa Press LLC wants improved portrait for Facebook page. Idea is same, theme of "rediscovering history." Uncover the past. Pull back the curtain to see what is in the past. 1800s America. Wild West. Chinese work on railroad. Old west ghost towns.

THIS IS THE SAME PROJECT AS POSTED EARLIER. The award is $45-60, NOT $250++ ... it should be fairly easy to incorporate design, just make it look better, cleaner. If you have other ideas on how to show what might be behind America's 19th century past, I'm open for suggestions. Thanks!

Employer Feedback

“Surprising to me that the work was done so quickly and way beyond what I thought possible. Exceeded expectations. Results amazing. Really a good sense of knowing what was wanted. Communication easy. Advice helpful. Extra work forthcoming and would return for hire in other projects.”

I need to send the Facebook page that shows what I like most about Rabia E's design, so I am looking for a way to send this screenshot for minor changes.

Rabia is asking the right questions: Does it have to be square? Facebook makes it a square but it can be cropped from a larger image. In the end, what shows up on Facebook is a square. The hand or man must look realistic. The man I provided is not too bad, but messy, not neat enough, not professional looking. He's way too big too. But, I like that it looks like he struggles to open the curtain. It isn't easy looking into the past sometimes. Thanks for working so hard!

Rabia E. has the right idea. I like the tone, the color, the old photo of the town, the train. The dirt street would be a great place to put "Rediscovering History." What I do not like is the arm and hand. It looks like a cartoon. The original drawing of the man is okay, but needs to be cleaner, sharper, and much smaller. It is not easy to open the curtain, but pulls hard to see into the past. Good try!

Here is a fine example of someone trying to incorporate ideas into a profile photograph for a Facebook page. The problem with the Facebook profile is that it is a very small square. What is already posted on FB shows a guy pulling back the sky. Because it gets reduced to a small square, it is hard to see anything but the man. The more realistic the better. Make the man smaller and his clothes not so messy would be okay. Or just a hand pulling back the sky. I thank the person who made this good try and hope someone will understand and submit another try to win. Thanks!

Do you want me to keep the guy that I drew or redrawing the man that you give us and make it more realistic?
