Contest Brief

Hi, thanks for your interest in this contest! There will be a Winner, Guaranteed!
I'm looking for a logo (for use on an exterior wall sign, and also to be used on a business card) to be designed (in TWO orientations landscape & portrait, AND Color and Black & White) for the business name " Bona Fide Auto Sales", just for your information the definition of Bona Fide is: in good faith or authentic, it's first use dates to the 1540's. It's use brings about images of a long lost past, quill pens, elaborate wardrobes, etc.. or at least that's what I envision.. ;)

I was thinking of a look that brought to mind old English style, or maybe a Baseball Jersey-style-cursive, however the text/copy should be clearly legible, and not too busy looking. I don't think a minimalist/art deco looking design would be best, however I very much welcome your own interpretations.

I also welcome the use of a character/caricature like the monopoly-man style aka vintage simplified cartoon or any other decorative options you may want to employ (while not making the sign too busy or cluttered). *If a character or other elaborate decorative elements are added, I would want that as a separate vector file, from the more simplified version, as something so elaborate may not translate well onto something small like a business card, etc.

The winning participant must provide vector art files .AI or .EPS for the logo, as well as the font file for the additional text use (such as business phone number, contact name, hours of operation, web site information, etc).

Contact me with any questions, or if you want me to preview anything before you formally submit it; thank you in advance for your time & efforts!

Employer Feedback

“Great experience. Took initiative, picked up on the direction given, and ran with the ball! Highly recommended. Hurricane Irma hit our area during the end of this contest, so I apologize for the delay in closing this out, we've been without power for over 1 week now. Keep up the great work! Thanks!”
