I would like to create a modern, tattoo style image based on an old Thai Sea Goddess. The lady within the image should appear Thai / Asian, vs western (just like a thai sea goddess would look :))

ABSTRACT AND DARK MOOD preferable

This will be a modern interpretation, ao i want it to be cool and funky whilst retaining the essence and symbolism of the original design.

The image will be black and white only (no color) as the final design will be used to engrave. Intricacy of detail will be highly regarded, so that the final image has plenty of detail. The final image will be engraved onto metal panels measuring 9cm by 6 cm, so consider this to be the canvas you have to work with. An example of the metal panel similar to those that will be engraved is attached (except it will not have a hole in it)

Design should be completely original. Depending on quality entries i may award multiple (2-4) prizes of the same value

FYI - I will not be awarding the contest to images that have clearly been taken directly from a google or stock image search. Even if the final winner has not quite nailed the brief, it will be awarded to the best ORIGINAL entry.
