I need to take the ground service equipment concept shown and make it look more appealing while still showing its function.
At lower engine RPMs, jet fuel doesn't burn completely. These devices capture the unburned fuel from jet engines while they operate on the ground. The devices accomplish this by attaching to the engine and (except for the single-engine model) towing the aircraft from behind.
The device must have a means of connecting the engines to a tank that collects the unburned fuel and a vent or vents that allow the turbofan bypass air to flow through, and it must be moveable with the aircraft. It must also have as small a footprint as possible, not block any doors or hatches, and have a way of securing to the aircraft, possibly to the main landing gear or by cradling the underbody behind the main landing gear.
Color doesn't matter. A low-profile killer design would look like it's part of the aircraft when connected. Something that, when detached, can fold the chutes that capture the exhaust to look sleek when not connected to the aircraft.
Common feedback I'm getting from the current designs is bulky, boxy, utilitarian, and with those big catch basins and chutes, ugly when not attached to an aircraft. I want to change that.
The type of detail shown would be great, but for my budget, if you can only do black & white line art, that's fine. I need at least three designs, one single-engine model, a multi-engine model for private jets, and a dual-engine or quad-engine model for something like an Airbus A320 or Airbus A380.
Again, if you can make them look like part of the aircraft when attached and still aerodynamic and sleek looking when not connected, that will be a winning design.
Think of these designs like concept cars, not intended to be produced precisely as shown but realistic enough to be capable of production, so have fun!
