Hi,
There may be APIs out there that provide this information but I havent had time to research it. I am looking for a database of the top 2000 - 3000 PUBLIC and PRIVATE companies in the US and the following information on each company: Name, a short description, locations, and departments within the company. Ideally, this data is in a format that can be integrated into a back-end web architecture. I know there are several places that offer this data online such as Bloomberg, LinkedIn and Manta, but since I need it in a unified database, this project is likely a combination of web scraping, data mining, and data entry.
