Hi,
We are a small but growing business that is needing to establish some professional web presence.
Our current website is [login to view URL] ; from viewing this, you will see that we badly need an upgrade.
For this project, the freelance would need to achieve all of the below points.
• Creation of an uncluttered, attractive professional and user friendly website. This is to have the same address as the old one.
• This site will NOT have an online store. We have found this to be a waste of time.
• Clients using the site will not be required to log in – no accounts etc. The information will all be available for everyone (there will be no pricing on the site).
• This site will need to display approx. 500 products arranged into approx. 10 categories and 30 subcategories. Each product will need to have a picture and some info, some will also need a downloadable pdf data sheet. Ideally these products would be initially added from a spreadsheet (not entered individually).
• We want to make it easy for our clients to select a water tank from our website. Variables of our water tanks include style, shape, material, capacity, length, width, diameter, height, and colour. Visitors to the new site would be able to work through a process that allows them to select relevant parameters for their needs, and skip the irrelevant. Completion of the process would give the client a list of options. • Clients need to be able to compare several products on table.
• Clients need to be able to select several products and request a quote for them. Ideally this would be emailed to us. Users would need to enter a phone number and an email address.
• We need to be able to easily change the content of the website – obviously the products, photos, articles etc., but ideally also adding or removing categories.
• We would need to be get data on the people who are using our website- I understand Google Analytics makes this easy.
• Website structure will be fairly standard; Home, About, Contact, and various product being the main pages.
