We have been designing a NEW web site. All EXCEPT the SAMPLES PAGE is satisfactory. The current design SAMPLES PAGE (link later) does not come even close to an Ahhhh moment where you see yes this looks great. In fact it is awful. The BUDGET here is LOW because IF YOU REALLY UNDERSTAND it WILL TAKE YOU maximum an hour to communicate and design.
Our product is RESUME services. The SAMPLES are our SHOP WINDOW. So the SAMPLES PAGE should initially ILLUSTRATE / LIST the CATEGORY of RESUME. We have 6 CATEGORIES: The UI should allow the viewer to see these 6 categories indexed for EXAMPLE 1. C-LEVEL EXECUTIVE and ideally a thumbnail of the resume and then when they CLICK on the LINK it should open the resume SAMPLE. It should be tack sharp and should be seen as a whole page (first page of the resume). The source for resumes is PDF files. SO, take PDF file , copy page/s into Photoshop , present it nicely with a border or however you think it will look best, OPTIMIZE it TINY PNG and make sure when it loads the viewer can see the full page on their screen. This is then repeated for 60-100 samples. INITIALLY I just want the structure and concept and presentation to see how it works and see how the resumes look and load. SO ALL you have to do is GET ONE sample right PLUS the STRUCTURE OF THE INDEX to find their category and sample.
What you are being PAID for is YOUR DESIGN SKILL. I DO NOT require implementation. I JUST NEED TO SEE THE STRUCTURE for the RESUMES INDEX, PRESENTATION of the PNG from PDF and the LOADING of the SAMPLE. It"s design, UI skills that my developer can then take and IMPLEMENT in the WORDPRESS SITE. If successful I will handover the design and conversion of 60 to 100 PDF;s as another project. [url removed, login to view] SEE resume samples, then click on resume choice from INDEX. The UI is awful BUT the loaded resume is sharp and loads quickly. Sharp and loads quickly is the only reason I illustrate this site. it is HTML and we want Wordpress solution. example of PDf attached.
