We are looking for a designer that knows his/her way around PHP/MySQL/HTML, or the other way around. We want a web site suitable for a modern organization that needs a professional and sophisticated image. Description of content/functionality: - Page with categorized links. - Simple forum - Photo gallery with support for categories (Admin should be able to upload photos and add catefories) - Blog/news section (Add and remove text including photos) - Contact Form - 1-3 more static pages (like "about us"). - Front page that shows latest blogs/photos etc. The site should be updatable via a web browser by a end-user that has no prior experience with HTML or computers. Design: - The site should have a very sober and professional design. - New logo that will go with the new site. The client has a review board that will review design propositions. Tools: - The system will run on Linux feat. Apache, PHP4 and MySQL - All open source tools (forums, galleries etc) can be used as long as they: A) Provide fully standards compliant code. B) Do not rely on JavaScript to function (ie, they WORK without JS). C) Adhere to the final requirements spec. D) Can be fully integrated with the rest of the site, including CMS. Qualifications: - As a developer you should be very diligent and devoted to writing clean and manageable code. - All HTML (4.01, strict) must be fully standards compliant. - A link to a portfolio of previous work is a strict requirement. We are quite flexible; the project could be divided if you, for example, are a great designer but not a programmer.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
