My name is Hari Mitar Khalsa and I am working on an Animation for the website Sikhnet.com. The animation is about the woman named Mai Bhago. A Sikh historical figure, who fought against injustice. This animation's purpose is to inspire girls to stand up for who they are.
We are currently looking for an illustrator for our animation. The illustrator will be doing the background art as well as character design.
Project Title: Mai Bhago Animation
Style: We are looking for high quality and detailed background art. The animation style is going to be very basic. We want the artwork to do all the talking. most scenes will consist of a single high res piece of art which we will zoom in on to create multiple cuts in the scene. I have attached an example of the style of background (not character art) and level of detail we are looking for.
Amount of work: This project consists of 34 backgrounds with layers, 24 still characters with no layers, 35 characters with non complex layers, and 9 characters with complex layers (mouth positions etc). Many of these characters will be able to be reused with simple changes but I have still counted them separately above.
Timeline: We are on a very tight timeline and would need all the artwork completed in 6 weeks.
