AS3 XML Slideshow with prev and next buttons

I need to build a slideshow that reads the pictures from an xml file. It needs to have back and next buttons as opposed to a timer to go through the images. Also would like the code explanation commented in it. I have code here of something a little bit similar to show which sort of way I write the code
